Summary
The main function of a Supply Chain Planner is to work with Inventory management team on driving inventory optimization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Examine documents, materials and products, and monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy and conformation to standards and specifications.
- Review data such as demand, inventory, build orders, incoming orders, long term agreements etc. to determine impact on supply chain cost.
- Accurate reporting of Inventory values and metrics to drive supply chain improvements.
- Manage identification, tracking and mitigation of Excess and Obsolete inventory across supply chain.
Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze Inventory across supply chain and associated metrics
- Ability to do L3/L4 level detailed process documentation
- Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
- Knowledge of managing excess and obsolete inventory
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
